How to Calculate Your Soul Urge Number
To find your Soul Urge Number, we look only at the vowels in your full birth name exactly as it appears on your birth certificate. This includes the vowels in your first, middle, and last names, using the Pythagorean chart to convert each vowel to a number (A=1, E=5, I=9, O=6, U=3; Y is sometimes treated as a vowel depending on how it sounds in the name). Important: You will total the vowels in each name separately, reduce each to a single digit (or Master Number), and then combine them. As with your other core numbers, you do not reduce the Master Numbers 11, 22, or 33 when they appear as a total. Step-by-step method:
- Write your full birth name Write your complete name as it appears on your birth certificate (first, middle, last).
- Keep only the vowels Under each name, write only the vowels (A, E, I, O, U—and Y when it sounds like a vowel).
